Returns & Exchanges

Everything inside an ET-H power head mounts to this. Part 2701DG is the dark grey chassis, the moulded body that carries the brush roller, the motor and the drive components and holds them in line with one another.

A chassis is not a wear item in the ordinary sense — it fails through an event rather than through hours. A hard collision with a step, a heavy object dropped on the head, or years of heat cycling near the motor will crack or distort it, and after that the alignment it was moulded to hold is gone. The roller runs out of true, the housing flexes under hand pressure, and no quantity of new wear parts will settle the head down until the base underneath them is square again.

Because the head has to come fully apart for this repair, it is the natural moment to renew everything that would otherwise mean opening it again. The brush drive belt is 2750 and the motor-to-transmission belt is 2749; the right-side bearing block is 2751DG and the brush cover is 2752DG. Fitting those alongside a new chassis turns one teardown into a full refresh of the head.

Before ordering, be certain the damage really is in the chassis and not in the brush cover or the neck, since all three can leave a head feeling loose. A chassis fault usually shows as movement between the two halves of the housing when the head is twisted by hand, or as a roller that will not stay parallel to the floor however it is refitted.
