White is the one shade in this family sold under two separate part numbers, and mixing them up is the commonest wrong order on the AIRBELT E filter cover. 8224WEE1ER is the white panel built for the SEBO AIRBELT E1 KOMBI. Its counterpart, 8224WEPRER, belongs to a different canister and will not deputise for it, so the data plate deserves a glance before anything is ordered.
Part of the confusion comes from the drawing itself. SEBO's AIRBELT E sheet shows a filter cover at item 24 and prints the white entry there under a generic 8224WEER. The numbers white covers are actually ordered by are longer and model-specific, with the machine identifier folded into the middle of the code — which is exactly what the E1 in 8224WEE1ER is telling you.
Its duty on this canister matches the rest of the line: shut the compartment, and hold the media down hard enough that the air has nowhere else to go. Clips are the weak point, and they nearly always let go during a filter swap rather than in use. Once the panel no longer pulls down tight, one edge of the filter lifts and the machine quietly stops filtering everything it moves. A new cover ends that and closes the bay flush. Fitting one is a hand job with no tools involved, and the filter already in the machine goes back into the fresh panel unchanged.
