Returns & Exchanges

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Skirting boards and furniture legs take their toll on the front of a floor nozzle. Part 2831SE is the moulded outer cover for the SEBO G1 floor nozzle, the panel that gives the nozzle its shape and shields the brush chamber and air channels behind it. It is the part of the machine that meets the world first, and the one most often replaced because of it.

The cover is structural as well as cosmetic. Held down at its mounting points, it keeps the nozzle body stiff and keeps the air path sealed along its length. A cracked or split cover no longer holds itself tight to the body, and the gap that opens up bleeds off airflow that ought to be pulling at the carpet, which is why a nozzle with a broken cover often feels weak long before anyone connects the two.

Damage usually arrives from the front, where the nozzle meets a skirting board at speed, or from a furniture leg catching a corner. Once a crack has started it travels, and a crack that reaches a screw boss turns a simple panel swap into a nozzle replacement.

Fitting one is a screwdriver job with the nozzle turned over. Take the old cover off, transfer anything mounted to it, and check the clip locations for damage before the new panel goes down — a clip that has broken off the body rather than the cover will leave the replacement just as loose as the original.

Worth changing as soon as a crack appears, then. Renewing the cover is a far cheaper repair than replacing a whole nozzle, and it takes a screwdriver and a few minutes with the head turned over.
