A full-width floor head is the wrong shape for a stair tread and a crevice tool is far too slow across one, which is the gap part 8833AM fills. The opening on this SEBO nozzle is sized to a single tread and to the narrow surfaces around it, so landings, thresholds, closet shelves and window sills each take one steady pass instead of several overlapping ones.
