Product details
Every steering movement made with a SOFTCASE CE12 flexes the wiring that crosses its swivel joint, and 75117 is the factory length of two-wire cable built for that duty. SEBO shows it at position 113 on the machine's parts list, sitting immediately after the cable channel at position 112 that routes it through the neck.
Cable in a flexing position fails from the inside out. Individual strands break where the insulation is stiffest, the resistance rises, and long before anything looks wrong from the outside the machine starts cutting out when the handle is worked through its arc. Power that returns when the neck is held at a particular angle is the giveaway, and it is worth chasing to this cable rather than condemning the switch or the board.
Two-wire construction runs right through the CE12 supply side, which makes the diagram a useful cross-check: the mains connector at position 10 is also two-wire, and the mains cable at position 15 is a two-wire 9.25 m lead in 2 x 17 AWG. The 120 volt board is position 120 and the rocker switch position 140, so a dead machine can be worked along the chain rather than replaced piece by piece.
