This white brush cover release is the latch that lets you open the brush roller compartment on a SEBO X2 upright vacuum (Part #5239DG). Press the release to unlock the cover and gain access to the brush roller for cleaning, removing tangled hair and thread, or swapping out a worn brush.
Over time the release tab can crack or lose tension, making the cover difficult to open or causing it to pop loose during use. Fitting a fresh release restores a clean, positive latch and keeps the brush chamber sealed while the vacuum is running.
