Charcoal furniture guard for Simplicity 7000 series upright vacuums, stocked as part B029-0131. This flexible bumper strip wraps the front of the cleaning head, absorbing the impact of baseboards, chair legs and cabinet edges so the housing behind it stays unmarked.

Like any bumper trim, it wears with use. Once it scuffs flat, splits open, or starts peeling away from the housing, the plastic underneath is left exposed and a lifted edge tends to catch on carpet as the nozzle rolls over it. A new strip closes that gap back up and gives the front of the head a straight, uniform edge again.

Verify both the series badge and the trim finish on your machine first, since 7000 series uprights left the factory in more than one color and this particular guard is cut for charcoal. Fit the new strip along the full length of the leading edge rather than only at the corners, since a guard that is only partially seated will lift under the first impact and stop protecting the housing at that spot.
