Product details
DART owners replacing the socket cap on the ET-1 head need this exact version, 2961GS in gray black. It closes over the electrical socket in the TS-neck so the contacts feeding the brush motor stay covered while the head swivels along underneath the machine.
SEBO's DART parts diagram carries it at position 120, two places on from the release button and its leaf spring at 117 and the button cover at 118. Age and handling do most of the damage here: the cap gets gripped whenever the neck is separated, and a hairline split eventually runs far enough that the piece drops away, leaving the socket open to whatever the head picks up off the floor. Once that happens the connection stops being held square, and a brush roll that cuts in and out as the neck flexes usually follows.

Two similar caps exist in the SEBO catalogue and they are not interchangeable listings, so order by the number on this page when the head in front of you is the DART build. The neck also carries a button cover and a release button within three positions of the socket cap, and all three take a beating from the same handling, which makes it worth checking them together while the joint is open. Keeping the socket enclosed is what stops a clean contact turning into an intermittent one. Genuine SEBO part held on an authorized dealer account. Ships in 2–5 business days.
