This Soft Carpet Base Plate is a replacement nozzle plate for Simplicity, Riccar, and CleanMax lightweight uprights, including the Riccar Prima and R17, several Simplicity S10 models, and the CleanMax ZM-500 and ZM-700. It raises the nozzle slightly to ease movement across ultra-soft, plush carpet.
On very soft modern carpet a standard plate can seal down so tightly that the vacuum becomes hard to push and airflow suffers. This plate lifts the nozzle just enough to glide while keeping pickup strong. It is also a wear part: a cracked or warped base plate opens air leaks that rob floor-level suction, so replace it when you see visible damage or pickup drops despite clean filters.
