Product details

Hayden lists part 762032 as the 30-degree spigot for the Hayden 0646 central vacuum system, a fitting sized to change the direction of a pipe run without breaking the line for a full coupling. The spigot end is molded to slide directly inside a straight section of standard 2-inch central vacuum tubing, so one fitting does the job that would otherwise take a coupling plus an elbow.

Thirty degrees is about the gentlest turn a pipe run can make short of staying straight. Nothing mechanical pushes debris through a central vacuum line; airflow alone does that work, so anywhere velocity drops in a bend is a spot where heavier grit or pet hair can hesitate. A gentle bend like this one bleeds off far less of that airflow than a 90-degree elbow, which is why installers reach for it whenever the framing allows a gradual change in direction. Save the tighter fittings for the spots where the run genuinely has no other option, typically ducking around a stud or dropping through a top plate.

  • Part: Hayden 762032, 30-degree spigot
  • Fits: Hayden 0646 central vacuum pipe systems
  • Function: gentle directional change with less airflow loss than a sharp elbow
  • Installation: dry-fit the section, then solvent-cement each joint

Test-fit the whole run before committing any glue. A spigot seated without solvent cement can work loose from vibration over months of normal use, and once it does, the joint pulls in air rather than debris, which shows up as a slow, whole-system loss of suction that is hard to trace back to one fitting. Cement every joint once the dry run lines up and hold light pressure while the solvent sets.
