Returns & Exchanges

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Rather than a single molding, 5175UL arrives as the complete swivel neck for the AUTOMATIC X1 and AUTOMATIC X2, with slider 5328OR already fitted. The neck is the joint between the upright body and the power head: it lets the handle recline and steer while the head stays flat on the floor, and it carries the electrical connection down to the brush motor at the same time. The slider is the piece that keeps that connection made while the neck is being twisted from side to side.

Three complaints usually lead to this assembly. Play in the joint, so the handle feels loose and the machine wanders off line as it is pushed. A brush that cuts in and out as the handle moves, which points at the sliding contact rather than at the motor. Or a neck that no longer holds the angle it is set to. Replacing the individual supports, bearings and contact parts one at a time rarely settles all three, because the wear is spread across every mating surface in the joint. Changing the neck as one built-up unit puts new against new and returns the steering and the electrical path in a single repair.
