Finished in gray black, part 3258GS is the swivel neck support listed for the SEBO DISCO floor polisher in its Ice Blue, Fun and Onyx colorways. Its job is to stiffen the pivot where the handle neck joins the body of the machine, holding that joint square while the operator steers, reverses and works the polisher into corners.

Once the joint develops movement the whole machine feels vague. The handle leads rather than steers, there is a knock at each change of direction, and every push works the crack in the support a little wider until it finally lets go. Waiting for that moment is the expensive route, because the movement wears the housing around the pivot as well. Fitting the correct support tightens the neck again and stops the wear spreading. Inspect the pivot bore and the hardware while the assembly is open, and check the left-hand support 3257ER at the same time, since the two age together.
