Central vacuum owners rebuilding a power unit rather than replacing the whole housing often need just the motor, and the TMCY2001T is Trovac's bare motor for that job: a two-stage tangential bypass unit rated at 312 air watts on 120 V, built on a 5.7 in frame.

The tangential bypass fan pulls its own cooling air in on a path apart from the suction stream, which is what lets the motor run clean while the airflow it generates carries dust and grit through the piping. Since this is the bare motor, it ships without an exhaust tube, gasket, or lead assembly, so plan on transferring those parts from your original motor. A gasket that has hardened or cracked over the years is worth replacing at the same time, since a new motor mounted on a worn seal can still leave the system short on suction.
