Part GASCUT29 is a rubber gasket that seats a motor into the body of a central vacuum power unit, closing the gap around the motor housing so the unit's suction pulls through the motor rather than leaking past its edge. Trovac publishes it at 5.5 in. (14 cm) outside diameter, 3.5 in. (8.9 cm) inside diameter and 7/8 in. (22 mm) thick, for the lower motor position.
Gaskets in this position take steady heat from the motor and compress a little more with every year of service, until eventually one goes flat, cracks, or tears at a seam and the unit starts losing suction even though the motor itself still runs. Because the leak happens right at the seal rather than anywhere visible, a drop in performance with no other obvious cause is often traced back here.
