Product details

One end of part TF5509BV is a spigot, shaped to slide straight into the next fitting or pipe rather than accepting one, which lets this 90-degree elbow chain directly onto a tee, wye or coupling without an extra piece between them.

  • Angle: 90 degrees, medium radius
  • Ends: one spigot (male), one socket
  • Material: PVC
  • Brand: Vaculine

The spigot end is useful in tight spaces, such as close behind a power unit or in a shallow wall cavity, where there is not enough room to add a separate coupling before the turn. Solvent-weld the socket end to your pipe with cement rated for central vacuum PVC.

Dry-fit the spigot end into the mating fitting before cementing, since PVC solvent weld sets almost immediately once the pieces are pushed together. Because one end is a spigot rather than a socket, this elbow takes up less depth at that end than a female/female elbow would in the same spot.

Confirm the pipe diameter matches your existing central vacuum tubing, then order part TF5509BV for a spigot-ended 90-degree turn, keeping a plain female/female elbow on hand as well for the spots where the turn falls between two lengths of pipe instead.
