Product details

Part TF5568BV is the plastic backing plate that a central vacuum wall inlet mounts to inside the rough opening. It gives the inlet a flat, fixed surface to screw into rather than relying on drywall alone, which keeps the finished inlet square and flush once the wall is closed up.

  • Material: plastic
  • Type: wall inlet mounting plate
  • Brand: Vaculine

Set the mounting plate during rough-in, before drywall goes up, so the inlet body and its pipe connection are already positioned correctly when the wall is finished. A plate that is not anchored square at this stage can leave the inlet cover sitting crooked or its door not closing cleanly later.

Confirm the mounting plate is compatible with the specific wall inlet you are installing, since mounting hardware can differ between inlet models even within the same product line. Check the plate's position against the depth of the wall cavity as well, since a plate set too far forward or back can leave the finished inlet sitting proud of the wall or recessed into it once drywall is in place.

Order part TF5568BV for the rough-in mounting behind a Vaculine wall inlet, and fasten it securely to framing rather than to drywall alone so it can carry the weight of the inlet and its pipe connection. Verified against: Trovac catalogue listing for the Vaculine plastic mounting plate
