The VacuMaid metal flanged back-up plate (Part #SF-290) is the rough-in mounting plate that secures a VacuMaid metal central vacuum inlet valve to the wall and ties it into the in-wall tubing. It provides a rigid metal anchor point so the inlet valve sits flush and square against the finished wall surface.
This plate is designed specifically for use with VacuMaid metal inlet valves and is intended to be paired with the #PF-243A 90-degree flanged fitting, which routes the central vacuum tubing behind the wall and connects to the back of the plate. Installing the correct back-up plate keeps the inlet airtight and gives the valve a solid surface to screw into.
