A six-foot blank hose with a gas-pump grip handle, part SG400114006XFPB, supplied for the Wessel Werk Retro Kit. Blank here means non-electric: the hose moves air only, with no wiring running through it and no switch in the grip.
The gas-pump grip is the shape that puts your hand above the hose rather than in line with it, which is easier on the wrist through a long job and keeps the hose from twisting as you work around furniture.
Hoses come up for replacement when the wall splits along a corrugation or a cuff has worn loose at one end. Both leak air in ahead of the tool, so suction seems to have vanished when the machine itself is perfectly healthy. Stretch a suspect hose out straight in good light before deciding, since cracks tend to close up when it is coiled.
