Canplas part 765585W is a pack of three white temporary covers sized to screw onto a central vacuum rough-in inlet opening before the finished valve is installed. Builders use them during framing, drywall, painting, and flooring so the rough inlet does not turn into a spot where dust, debris, and overspray collect inside the tubing before the system is even finished.
Once construction work is done and the wall is ready for the real valve, the cover comes off and the finished inlet valve installs in its place. Keeping the rough opening capped in the meantime also keeps drywall mud and paint out of the pipe network, which is a nuisance to clear out later if debris gets in during the build.
Three covers in the pack means a single order can protect several inlets on the same job, or keep spares on hand for a phased renovation where openings are cut and covered at different stages. They are a jobsite item, not something used after the system is complete.
Order enough covers for every rough inlet on the job at once rather than one at a time, since a forgotten opening is exactly the kind of gap that lets construction dust into the tubing before the system is even commissioned.
