Product details

Motor filter for the Windsor VSE 1/3, part 52-2310-08, also listed for the Windsor VS14HEPA.

This is the last line of defence in front of the motor. It catches the fine dust that gets past the bag and the primary filtration, which is precisely the dust that ruins bearings and commutators. On a HEPA-rated machine it also has a say in what comes out of the exhaust.

Filters like this clog gradually and silently. Nothing tears and nothing rattles; the machine simply draws harder for less airflow, runs hotter, and cleans worse. Replace it on a schedule rather than waiting for symptoms, roughly every six to twelve months depending on how hard the machine works, and check it whenever you change bags. It seats in its housing by hand with no tools.
