We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. A genuine Bissell brush roll for the 12B1 PowerForce Helix upright, part 2038072, measuring 13 inches end to end. It is the only thing in the machine that actually agitates carpet, and suction alone will not pull embedded grit out of a pile.
Bristles shorten, splay and flatten with use, and the change is gradual enough that most people blame the filter first. If the vacuum leaves lint and pet hair behind on a slow pass, or the roll looks polished rather than bristly, the roll is finished. Hair and thread wound around the ends also strangle the bearings and can cook a belt.
It fits the PowerForce Helix uprights 12B1, 1240 and their lettered variants, the PowerForce Helix 1700 and 2191, and the BGU1937T commercial upright. Cut away wound-on hair every few months and the new roll will last considerably longer.
