Product details

This is the Bissell Style 8 HEPA filter, part 2037715, supplied unpackaged. Our fitment data puts it on a long list of Lift Off and upright machines, among them the 3750, 3760-3, 3760R, 4104, 4220, 6595, 6801, 6850, 6860, 18Z6, 89Q9, 92L3P and 92L3W.

A HEPA filter works by being dense, and dense media loads. As it fills, the motor is asked to pull air through a smaller and smaller effective area, so suction falls away while the vacuum runs hot and loud for less return. The other symptom is one you smell rather than hear, exhaust air that no longer comes out clean.

Treat it as a replace-only item. Water damages the fiber structure that does the filtering, so a filter that has been through the sink looks perfectly fine and no longer performs.
