Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

The charging dock is the base a Kenmore 31510.1 robot vacuum returns to between runs, and it is what keeps the whole point of a robot vacuum intact: cleaning without you managing the battery by hand. When the dock stops working, the robot cannot recharge on its own, and a schedule you set once starts silently failing without any obvious warning until you notice the floors have not been touched in days.
Docks sit still for most of their life, but the contacts and internal electronics still wear out over time, especially in a household with pets or small kids bumping the unit loose from the wall or knocking it out of position. A robot that wanders past its dock without docking, sits on the dock all night and shows no charge in the morning, or docks but the indicator light stays dark, usually points to the dock rather than the robot itself.

Placement matters as much as the hardware itself: give the dock open floor space on both sides so the robot can approach and align with it from more than one angle instead of a narrow, boxed-in corner. A dock also needs a level, unobstructed final approach, since the robot homes in on the dock's signal from several feet out, and a rug edge or door threshold in that last stretch can throw the alignment off just enough to miss the charging pins even with a working dock.
