We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. Part 147651 is the replacement flange for the dirt-cup collar Sanitaire uses on its SC887 upright, the ring the removable cup seals against when it is locked back into place. That same design carries over to the C2132A, C2132B, C2132B1, C2132B2, C2132B3 and C2133A models, the SC689A, both the SC877D and SC877E, both the SC887D and SC887E, and the SC888G.
These flanges fail at their necking point, exactly where the plastic gets levered each time a user pulls the cup free to empty it, and on a commercial machine covering a large building that can add up to several removals before lunch. A cracked neck leaks air rather than holding it, showing up as a small burst of dust right at the joint, a ring of grit built up on the cup's outer surface, and a machine that pulls weakly no matter how recently the filter was cleaned.
Pull the cup straight off rather than twisting it free, since twisting loads the plastic sideways at the thinnest point of the flange and shortens its life considerably. While the old flange is out, run a finger over the surfaces it mates with, since a worn or scored mating face can crack a brand new flange just as quickly as it cracked the one being replaced.
Wipe both the flange and the surface it seats against clean before fitting the new part, since trapped grit between the two keeps them from sealing fully even when neither piece shows any damage on its own.
