We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. This is the replacement suction motor for the Sanitaire SC9180 commercial upright, part 89328, confirmed for both the SC9180B and SC9180D. It is the main motor and fan assembly that generates the machine's suction, not a brush-roll motor.
A motor on its way out gives some warning before it quits outright: suction that has faded even with a clean bag and filter, an unusual whine or rumble from inside the housing, and eventually a hot electrical smell after a normal cleaning run. Commercial machines run enough hours that motor wear is one of the more common repairs on an otherwise sound upright.
Fitting this motor means opening the machine's housing and working around mains wiring, so it is a job for someone comfortable doing that kind of repair. Confirm your machine reads SC9180B or SC9180D on its rating plate before ordering, since those two variants are the confirmed fitment for this motor and a close model number is not proof of a match.
While the housing is open, check the fan for cracked blades and clear any debris packed around the fan chamber, since a partially blocked fan puts extra load on a new motor and can shorten its working life right from the start.
