This replacement Motor Sound Suppressor Batten Strip fits Filter Queen canister models 112A, 112B, 99A, Princess II, and Princess III. The strip lines the motor compartment to dampen vibration and muffle the noise the motor makes as it runs, part of what keeps these canisters quiet.

Over years of heat and vibration the batten strip hardens, crumbles, or works loose, and once it degrades the motor grows noticeably louder and can transmit more vibration into the housing. Replacing the strip restores the sound-deadening barrier and returns the machine to its quieter, smoother operation.
