Hoover Conquest Motor Cushi...

Product details

Part 34141005 is the motor cushion mount for the Hoover Conquest commercial upright, covering the C1810, C1810-010, C1810-020 and C1815. The rubber sits between the motor and the body and isolates one from the other, so the machine's own vibration does not travel straight into the housing.

Rubber hardens with heat and age. Once it does, the mount stops absorbing anything and the motor is effectively bolted solid to the shell: the vacuum turns markedly louder, you feel the buzz through the handle, and fasteners elsewhere on the machine begin backing out on their own.

If the machine uses more than one mount, change them as a set. A single fresh cushion working against three hardened ones restores very little and takes the whole load itself.
