We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. This handle control lever, part 38434035, is the lever that releases the handle so you can recline it into cleaning position and lock it upright again for storage on Hoover SteamVac and SpinScrub carpet cleaners.
A lever in this position takes a firm push every time the machine is set up and put away, and the plastic eventually cracks or wears where it pivots. Once that happens the handle can stop releasing cleanly, stop locking upright, or flop loose while you clean, and a handle that will not lock is awkward to store as well as awkward to use.
