Suction that has faded across a season, a rising whine under load, or the smell of hot varnish from the exhaust all point the same way on a SEBO 300 MECHANICAL or 350 MECHANICAL. Part 50465ER is the factory 1000 W, 120 V suction motor, shown as position 136 in SEBO's exploded diagram for the 300 and 350 MECHANICAL.

Nothing else in the airway compensates for a tired motor. New bags and clean filters remove restrictions, but they cannot put back the air the motor is no longer able to move. It is worth ruling those out first all the same, since a choked filter makes a healthy motor sound strained: the eight-bag filter bag box for these machines is 5093AM, the microfilter is 5036AM and the HEPA microfilter 5812ER, with exhaust inserts 50169ER in HEPA and 50170ER in S-class. Once the airway is clear and the pull is still short, the motor is the answer.

Brush wear inside the motor is the usual mechanism behind a slow decline, and SEBO supplies a carbon brush set as part 05117S for owners who prefer to look there before replacing the whole unit. Where the motor has been run with a split bag or a missing filter, the bearings and commutator will usually have taken the damage instead and a complete motor is the honest repair.
