We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. The Rainbow D4 Power Mate and RainbowMate RM-2E and RM-2 power nozzles use a 6-1/16 inch brush roll, sold here as part R4873. Bristles along the roll grip the pile as it turns, working embedded dirt loose so the nozzle's own airflow can carry it away.
Bristles that have frayed, flattened or worn short can no longer bite into carpet the way a fresh roll does, so debris that should come up stays in the pile after a pass. Hair and thread wound tightly around the roll have a similar effect, and they add drag that a belt has to work against.
Because the roll is a wear item on a machine that otherwise runs for years, it is worth pulling and checking on a regular schedule rather than waiting for a visible drop in cleaning to prompt the inspection.
