We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. Latch springs fatigue long before the latch body does. When a safety catch on a SEBO upright feels lazy, sits half open, or fails to snap back after it is released, the small steel spring behind it has almost always lost tension rather than broken. SEBO 5091 is that spring, sold as the single replacement piece, and it is one of the widest-fitting hardware items in the range: it covers the AUTOMATIC X uprights, the ESSENTIAL G uprights and the 370 machines from one number.
SEBO draws it at position 39 in the ESSENTIAL G4/G5 exploded parts diagram, which makes it straightforward to confirm against a workshop drawing before anything is opened up. The failure mode is quiet: nothing snaps, the catch simply stops holding with authority, and a door or cover that used to click shut starts sitting slightly proud. On a bag compartment that means a broken seal and dust finding its way out; on any cover it means a part that can be knocked open in use. Because the spring costs so little, fitting a tired one back into a rebuilt catch is the one thing not worth doing.
