We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. Product details
The power cable leaves the handle tube at one point, and every pull on the cord loads that spot: the tug that frees it from a door frame, the wrap onto the cord hooks, the yank at the plug. Clamp 5162 is the anchor that holds the flex against the handle so the wire is restrained instead of being worked back and forth until a conductor inside gives up. It is a small molded part doing a job that decides how long an entire cable set lasts.
SEBO draws it at position 8 on three separate exploded diagrams — the AUTOMATIC X4/X5 sheet, the AUTOMATIC X7/X8 sheet and the ESSENTIAL G4/G5 sheet — which is why one clamp covers such a wide run of uprights. A missing or snapped clamp is easy to recognise on the machine: the cord swings free of the handle tube, catches on furniture legs while you work, and no longer lies flat on its way down to the hooks. Refitting the correct clamp puts the strain relief back at the entry point and returns the cable to its intended path.
