We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. Suction at the nozzle is only ever as good as the seal against the floor, and part number 5400-1 is the 12 in. sealing strip that closes the gap along the base of the power head. SEBO draws it at position 136 on the sheet titled AUTOMATIC X4/X5.
Read the surrounding rows before ordering. Position 135 on that sheet carries two complete rear bottom plate assemblies, 5412GS and 5414GS, and both are listed as including position 136 along with the M4 x 12 screw at position 139 — order the plate and this strip arrives inside it, so the bare strip is the right line only when the plate itself is still sound. The neighbours place it: front bottom plate 5413GS at position 134, rubbing plate 5155GS at 125, pile adjustment wheel 5174GS at 132. The strip closes off the rear of the base so the air that the brush roller 5010AM stirs up is dragged through the pile and on into the bag housing instead of leaking in from behind.
It is a wear item by design, rubbing along carpet and hard floor on every pass. Once it hardens, curls, splits or simply thins, air starts entering where the machine wants it pulled through the fibres. Plenty of owners meet this part while chasing a loss of pickup that turns out to have nothing to do with the motor, the bag or the filters; the tell is a head that glides more easily than it used to while still leaving grit in the pile behind it. Worth inspecting whenever the brush roller is out of the machine. Wider bases take the 15 in. strip, 5400-2, instead.
