Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Motors give plenty of warning before they stop: a rising whine, a hot smell after ten minutes of work, carbon dust in the bay, or a machine that cuts out and restarts on its own. Part 1843/2 is the 1000 W suction motor SEBO builds for the 370 Comfort and Electronic 370.
Brush wear and bearing wear account for most of what people hear. Brushes shorten until contact becomes intermittent, which is what produces the cutting out, and bearings dry out and raise the pitch of the motor's note until it is audible from the next room. Suction falls away with either, though the loss is gradual enough that most owners only recognise it in hindsight, after a replacement makes the difference obvious.
The motor protection cover and a rubber support are included, so the replacement goes back into the base on fresh mountings instead of the flattened originals. That matters for noise as much as for longevity, since a hardened mount transmits everything the motor does straight into the housing around it.

Genuine SEBO through an authorized dealership, generally shipping in 2–5 business days. Unplug the machine first, photograph the terminal positions before anything is disconnected, and clear the motor bay of accumulated carbon dust before the new unit goes in. Confirm the bag and filters are clear afterwards, because a machine that has been run hard with restricted airflow is why plenty of these motors need replacing in the first place.
