Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Steering an upright puts a surprising amount of load through one pivot, and a neck that has worked loose cannot be taken up with an adjustment. Part 5729UL answers that: the swivel neck supplied complete for AUTOMATIC X4, AUTOMATIC X4 Boost and AUTOMATIC X5 machines, with the 5328OR slider already mounted.
On the drawing headed AUTOMATIC X4 X5 this appears as item 104, and that number stands in for items 105 to 108 together with 111. Ordering it therefore brings the male contact holder 5176UL, the cable clamp 2494 and both neck bearings — 5101 on the right, 5717 on the left — in a single package. That is the practical case for the assembly over its components: a pivot that has gone sloppy by degrees rarely announces which piece inside it wore first, and buying the whole joint takes the diagnosis out of the job.

Photograph the cable run before the old pivot is opened, since the wiring has to return along the same path if it is not to be trapped when the new neck is closed up.
