Cosmetic and protective at the same time, the swivel neck cover closes off the pivot where the cleaning head hinges from the body. Part 2602HG is the light gray cover shared by the SEBO 370 COMFORT and the SEBO ELECTRONIC 370.

It is the piece that takes the scrapes whenever the machine is laid flat to reach under a bed or a sofa, so a cracked, scuffed or missing cover is one of the commonest faults on a well-used 370. Left off, the pivot area is open to dust and hair, the fixings underneath are exposed to knocks, and a machine that is mechanically sound looks tired long before it is worn out. This listing is the cover on its own: on the ELECTRONIC 370 the neck assembly beneath it is a separate order under 2609UL, and the brace behind that joint is 2613.

Fitting is a short job with the head laid over on the bench. Check that every clip engages and that the cover sits flush all the way round, because a cover held on by only half its tabs will work loose again in normal use. If the same impact has marked the pile adjustment wheel, that part is 2608HG in the same light gray finish.

The cover has no structural role in the pivot itself; it clips over the finished joint rather than holding it together. A machine will keep running with a broken one, which is why so many are bought later, as part of tidying an otherwise sound vacuum back up.
