Bissell Front Wheel Assembl...

Product details

Front wheel assembly, Bissell part 1608224, for the PowerForce range: the 1700 and 1701 machines, the 2190 and 2191, and the 1739.

The front wheels sit right behind the nozzle and set how the cleaning head meets the floor. When one cracks or its bearing surface wears, the head sits low on that side, so the brush drags on one edge and cleans lightly on the other, and the machine becomes harder to steer along a wall.

Because this is the assembly rather than a loose wheel, the mounting hardware comes as one piece and drops straight into the housing. Take a moment to clear any hair wound in behind the wheel while it is out; that is often what stiffened it in the first place, and it will do the same to the new one.
