The bag mount is the collar the bag seats onto, and this assembly, part D484-2282, is shared across a family of related uprights: the Titan T500 cordfree, the CleanMax ZM800, the Maytag M500, and the R10P and R10S in both Riccar and Simplicity form.
Everything downstream depends on that joint being airtight. When the mount cracks or its sealing face wears smooth, fine dust escapes at the collar instead of ending up in the bag. You find grit inside the bag chamber and the machine loses suction even with a fresh bag fitted.
Fit the new mount, then press a bag onto it and check that the collar seats flat all the way around before you close the machine up.
