Product details

Black bottom plate, part D220-0414, for the CleanMax ZM800 and the Titan T500, and the same plate serves the Maytag M500 and the Riccar and Simplicity R10P and R10S.

The plate is the floor of the nozzle. It holds the brush roll at the right height above the carpet and closes the suction channel so the air reaching the motor has come up through the pile rather than in around the edges. It is also the surface being scraped along every threshold and floor vent the machine crosses.

A cracked or warped plate leaks air at the sides and lets debris spill out behind the nozzle, so pickup goes soft and the machine leaves a trail. While it is off, take the moment to clear the brush roll and check the belt; you will not get a better opportunity.
