For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. Black rather than gray, this is the version SEBO supplies for its dark-bodied machines, and part 5045SW is the on-board tube for the AUTOMATIC X4 and the AUTOMATIC X7 Pet. Finish is the only thing separating it from the gray wand used elsewhere in the range, so order to the color of your own upright.
The tube bridges the hose handle and whichever tool is being used, giving the reach needed for stairs, vents, baseboards and the tops of door frames. Replace it once an end has cracked or the tube has been crushed, since neither can be repaired and both cost suction at the nozzle. The give-away is a hiss at the joint with the hose while the floor head itself still pulls normally, which points at the wand rather than at a blocked filter or a full bag.
