SEBO Cover Release Latch fo...

Product details
One moulded catch holds the bag compartment of an AIRBELT K canister shut, and 6607GS is that catch in gray black. SEBO gives it position 8 on the AIRBELT K parts sheet, immediately after the bag cover it grips.
The positions either side of it describe the mechanism completely. Item 7 is the bag cover complete with its wheel, part 6756GS; item 10 is that wheel on its own, 6752GS; behind the closed door, item 5 is bag holder 6681HG and item 9 the AeraPure filter bag 6629AM. Because the door also carries weight through its castor, every drag and jolt the machine takes while being towed is fed back into this one latch, on top of the load it takes at each bag change. Nothing else on the lid shares that work, which is why the release is among the first pieces of plastic on a K canister to give up.
Failure shows in one of two ways. Either the catch seizes and the cover refuses to lift, or — the more expensive fault — it goes slack and stops pulling the door down hard. A lid that shuts without seating square leaves the bag hanging crooked in its holder, and dust starts appearing in a machine that has never leaked before. That is worth catching early, because the cure at that stage is one latch rather than a strip and clean.

The finish is part of the specification rather than a preference, since the latch sits on the face of the machine where a mismatched shade is obvious. Anyone hunting a SEBO cover release, a K series lid catch or an AIRBELT K bag door latch is describing this same number. Genuine SEBO part, authorized dealer stock, shipped in 2–5 business days.
