For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. Red machines take a compartment finished to match, and 5755DR is it: the dust bag housing supplied whole, bumper attached, for AUTOMATIC X4 and AUTOMATIC X4 Boost uprights.
What this moulding does is mechanical rather than clever. It keeps the bag collar aligned with the inlet, gives the catch something solid to pull against, and lets the bumper soak up whatever the machine runs into. When the shell splits, that seal is lost and the vacuum starts drawing part of its air through the crack; pickup at the floor falls away and fine dust reappears at the exhaust, which is a poor result on a machine chosen for its filtration. A torn bumper is less damaging but more obvious, since that strip is all that stands between the body and the skirting boards.
