Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Item 103 on the AUTOMATIC X4/X5 parts sheet is the exhaust filter cover, and 5711DB is the dark blue version of it, used on the AUTOMATIC X4 and the AUTOMATIC X5. It closes the bay at the machine's outlet and presses the filter medium down onto its seat.
The panel works as a clamp more than as a lid. Latched properly, everything leaving the fan is forced through the pleats; with a snapped tab or a cracked corner it stands a fraction proud, and air takes the easier route around the rim. The tell is a filter that stays oddly clean while a gray film builds on the wall behind the vacuum. Breakage nearly always happens while somebody is servicing the filter, and nearly always because the panel has been pried at with a screwdriver rather than unclipped by hand.
