Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. A handle that drifts out of its set angle mid-job is a catch problem rather than a hinge problem. SEBO supplies 51110ER as the lock catch complete with its spring, finished in gray black, and lists it at position 28 on the ESSENTIAL G4/G5 drawing.
The positive feel comes from the spring, and springs tire sooner than the plastic around them. What starts as a handle that needs a firmer push to lock becomes one that will not stay upright when the machine is parked, and then one that releases on its own halfway through a room. Taking the assembly rather than a bare catch body means the mechanism goes back together with fresh tension as well as a fresh moulding, so the handle locks where you leave it and releases when you ask it to.

Do not confuse this with the bag housing hardware lower down the same sheet: 51103GS is the bag housing locking catch at position 25, and 51153GS is the cover release at 37. If the handle assembly is apart anyway, the handle tube is 5187, the carrying handle is 51109HG, and the complete handle with cord, tube and switch is 5624AM. Searching by the SEBO handle catch part number is the quickest route here, since several gray black catches on these machines look similar in a parts photograph.
