This OEM Hoover convertible round belt drives the brush roll on Hoover Convertible uprights, fitting models 91, 918, U4125, U4313, U4387, U4451, and U7037. The round belt loops from the motor shaft to the agitator, spinning the roll so its bristles work the carpet.
A worn or broken belt stops the brush roll from turning, and suction alone cannot lift embedded dirt from carpet fibers. Slipping in a fresh belt restores proper drive to the agitator so the roll spins at full speed and cleaning power comes back.
