Product details

This 15-inch hose, part KC91PDWFZ000, is the internal duct that carries air from the floor nozzle up into the dust collection area on Kenmore Elite uprights. It fits the Kenmore Elite 31150 and the BU1018.

Because it runs inside the machine rather than out where you can see it, a split here is one of the more frustrating faults to track down. Suction at the floor falls away sharply, the motor sounds completely normal, and the bag fills far more slowly than it used to - because air is now entering the system through the split instead of through the nozzle.

Hoses of this type crack at the cuffs, where they are stretched over their fittings and flexed. Make sure both ends are seated fully when the new one goes in; a cuff left half on reproduces the fault exactly.
