Kirby Bottom Screw Gen 3 Fa...

Product details

These five screws fasten the bottom of the fan case to the base on a Kirby Gen 3, ordered as part 234898S and listed for the AVALIR, SENTRIA and Sentria II.

Everything at this end of the machine depends on a tight seal. The fan case has to sit flat against the base or air escapes at the joint, and the first sign of a missing or half-tightened screw is usually noise, a buzz or a whistle from under the machine that grows louder as the fan spools up, followed by suction that is not quite what it used to be.

Anyone who has had a fan case apart knows that one of these tends to disappear along the way. Five to a pack replaces the full set and leaves a spare in the drawer for next time. Each threads back into its original bore.
