Kirby Surface Nozzle - Gene...

Product details

Black surface nozzle for the Kirby Generation 4 and Generation 6, part 215414. It is the above-floor head that fits onto the hose or wand for area rugs, stair treads, car interiors and upholstery, concentrating the machine's airflow into a narrow, controllable mouth.

The usual reason to buy one is damage rather than wear. Cracks start at the collar, where the nozzle is twisted on and off, and once there is a split the nozzle bleeds air, so it stops grabbing pile and starts sliding over the top of it. A chipped lip will also catch loose weave and fringe.

Order by generation. Kirby's black nozzles from neighbouring eras are hard to tell apart in a photograph and the fitting is what actually has to match, so check the badge on the front of the machine for the Generation 4 or Generation 6 marking before you order.
