We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. It fits the Electrolux-Eureka S5000, the Eureka S5000A, SC5500A, SC5500B and SC5505A, and the same numbers badged Sanitaire: S5000A, SC5500A, SC5500B and SC5505A.
A belt that has stretched or glazed over stops gripping, so the roller turns slowly or stalls under carpet load while the motor keeps running at full speed. Look for a shiny hardened face, cracks across the ribs, a loop that no longer springs back when it is stretched between two fingers, and the smell of hot rubber after a few minutes of use. None of those need the belt to have snapped before they are worth acting on.
On a machine that runs every day, this is worth checking on a set schedule rather than at the point it breaks, since the work to reach it is the same whether it is replaced early or after it fails.
