Mounted in a garage or utility room and piped to inlets around the house, it is designed to run for years without anyone giving it a second thought.
Higher water lift keeps suction consistent at the far end of a long pipe run, so an inlet two floors up or at the opposite end of the house performs close to what you feel at the closest one. The 6 gallon canister empties less often than most portables, and because the unit exhausts outside the living space, fine dust leaves the building instead of recirculating through a bag.
